Osteopathy is a natural way to
give your kids a helping hand.
Childhood is a time of enormous change. Children’s bodies have to adapt to constant growth and development brings unique challenges, not to mention all the bumps and bruises along the way.
Osteopathy is a gentle approach that aims to promote health by helping the body to be a little more comfortable, so it is free to get on with doing what it is supposed to. It’s all about gently supporting the body to rebalance itself and helping it to let go of any tension that may be impairing its ability to function normally.
What can osteopaths treat?
Osteopathy is not a panacea and osteopaths treat people, not conditions. Whatever may be going on with your child’s health, our aim is simply to get his or her body moving as well as it can. However, this can make an important contribution to your child’s wellbeing.
I have treated children who have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and severe developmental delay, as well as many otherwise healthy kids with minor health problems like asthma, eczema, glue ear and recurrent coughs and colds.
I love working with children and I find that they usually respond extremely positively to treatment. My experiences have convinced me that there is always something an osteopath can do to help, even if it is just to allow the child to be a little more comfortable. This really can make all the difference!
Make sure your child is in safe hands
with an experienced paediatric osteopath.
If you’re going to take your child to an osteopath for treatment, you want to be confident they know what they’re doing. I’ve worked in the internationally renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children since 2004 and I have an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy.
