From the rigours of birth to the challenges of adolescence and beyond, childhood is a time of enormous change. Children’s bodies have to adapt to constant growth and development brings unique challenges at every stage, not to mention all the bumps and bruises along the way.
Osteopathy is a gentle, natural way to give your kids a helping hand
Osteopathy is a hands on approach to healthcare that focuses on the importance of physical comfort and ease of movement for our health and wellbeing. It is suitable for babies and children of all ages.
I have an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy and over ten years’ experience of treating children. I worked and taught at the internationally renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children from 2004 to 2013. I love working with children and my experiences have convinced me that there is always something an osteopath can do to help.
What do osteopaths treat?
Osteopaths do not treat conditions. Our aim is simply to get the body working as harmoniously as possible. However, this gentle approach can make an important contribution to your child’s wellbeing by helping them to be comfortable in their bodies, whatever may be going on with their health. This really can make all the difference.
What is cranial osteopathy?
Cranial techniques aim to help the body to rebalance itself and release any tension that may be impairing its ability to function normally. Cranial techniques are especially well suited to babies and children as it is such a gentle approach. I have over ten years’ experience in the cranial approach and I am a Tutor at the UK’s leading cranial teaching organisation, the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy.
